    Blush Lane Organic Market is looking for a permanent, full-time Chef de Partie for our Bridgeland location (617 Meredith Road NE, Calgary).

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook all culinary offerings as determined by the Market Chef. 
    • Provide input to the Market Chef and the Category Manager on ways to improve offerings or product flow.
    • Ensure that quality and product standards are consistently met.
    • Work with employees to ensure proportions, packaging and labeling guidelines are within company standards and guidelines.
    • Ensure production and operational documentation and tools are properly utilized to help the culinary team meet target goals.
    • Provide leadership and culinary direction to employees ensuring that product offerings are consistently excellent.
    • Ensure that sanitation and Blush Lane food handling and preparation standards are followed at all times.
    • Teach and share culinary knowledge with staff and shoppers.
    • Provide excellent customer service, monitor and follow-up on customer feedback in a timely and genuine manner.
    • Perform all aspects of cash handling procedures.
    • Stocks shelves with finished labelled products as required.
    • Special projects and other duties as required.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • A Red Seal or Journeyman Cook with 2 years of culinary experience in cooking.
    • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience in making quality goods.
    • Experience working in the grocery industry would be an asset.

    • Extended healthcare benefits after six months of employment if working a minimum of 40 hours per week on average
    • A discount on all SPUD.CA and Blush Lane purchases (10-25% based on Category)
